Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center in Williamsburg, VA. Registered Nurse for 3 South‑Acute Cardiac/Stroke Unit Full Time Day shift. Sign on Bonus up to $15,000 available for qualified candidates.
Hours:
6:45 AM to 7:15 PM with rotating weekend schedule. The Acute Cardiac/Stroke Unit (3 South) provides specialized care for patients with cardiac conditions including heart failure, rhythm disturbances, pacemakers, defibrillators, post‑coronary interventions, post‑ablation care, myocardial infarctions, catheterization, and acute stroke. It is a 24‑bed unit caring for higher acuity patients. This unit is part of a certified stroke center and Magnet‑designated organization recognized for excellence in patient care.
- Perform a competent level of nursing care using the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care, teaching, health promotion, and evaluation.
- Adopt standards of practice and professional performance including ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence‑based practice, nursing research, quality, evaluation, resource utilization, and environmental health.
- Education:
Degree or Diploma from an accredited Registered Nursing Program; BSN or MSN preferred; students completing an accredited program accepted. - Certification/Licensure:
Registered Nursing License required; BLS within 90 days of hire; ACLS within 1 year of hire; NIHSS within 1 year of hire (preferred). - Experience:
Acute care nursing experience preferred; background in Stroke or Telemetry preferred; no previous experience required.
