Position: Health Unit Coordinator - 8W Stem Cell Transplant Unit

Overview

The Stem Cell Transplant Unit at UVA Health is an inpatient unit at the main hospital and a 15-room intermediate care unit specializing in Cellular Therapy. Registered Nurses will provide expert care to patients undergoing complex cellular therapy, stem cell transplantation, and recovery. This specialized unit focuses on delivering cutting-edge treatments and compassionate support to individuals with hematologic malignancies and other conditions requiring cellular therapy.

Responsibilities
  • Maintains the medical record in good form.
  • Communicates effectively using established systems/protocols.
  • Communicates effectively with ancillary departments.
  • Maintains unit supplies/forms appropriately.
  • Assumes responsibility for professional development of self and contributes to and assists with the professional development of others.
  • In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.
Minimum Requirements

Education:

High School Graduate or Equivalent.

Experience:

No experience required.

Licensure:
None

Physical Demands

Job requires sitting for prolonged periods, frequently bending/stooping. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills;
Attention to detail and ability to write legibly;
Ability to lift/push/pull less than 20lbs. May be exposed to chemicals, blood/body fluids and infectious disease.

Compensation

The pay range for this role is $15.00 - $28.40 hourly. Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidate's qualifications, previous work experience, and/or education.
