Nursing Assistant; CNA - Float Pool; casual

Job Description

Responsible for providing direct care to patients and serving their needs in a safety‑conducive, comfortable environment, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, Nurse Manager, Assistant Head Nurse, and/or Department Director. Duties vary by unit and include: providing personal hygiene care, assisting with nutritional needs, comfort care, safe patient transfers, taking vital signs, completing recordkeeping, promptly reporting changes in patient condition, and maintaining a clean, safe environment.

This position is casual.

• Education:
  
  Must meet ONE of the following:
  • 6 months of patient care experience
  • Completion of one semester of clinical rotations within an accredited nursing program
  • Verifiable completion of a recognized nurse aide training program
  • Current registration on applicable state nursing assistant registry
• Licensure/Certification: BLS certified or ability to become certified within one month of hire date.

Shift Rotation:
Day / Evening / Night Rotation (United States of America)

Shift Start/End: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM / 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM / 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM

Hours Per Pay Period: 0

Compensation: $18.17 – $23.80 per hour

Union: VA Hospital AFSCME Service Workers (VAHOSPAIDE)
