** How You’ll Help Transform Healthcare:
** This position is located at Carilion Giles Community Hospital (CGCH) in Pearisburg, VA working full time, days, 7am-7pm with every other weekend and alternating holidays.
The RN provides professional nursing care to patients across all age groups, supporting patient-centered care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care. This role collaborates with the healthcare team to ensure safe, effective, and high-quality patient outcomes.

The RN
* Provides individualized patient care and coordinates care delivery for patients of all ages.
* Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care to achieve optimal outcomes.
* Completes and documents age-specific assessments to support development of care plans.
* Collaborates with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to develop and adjust care plans.
* Administers treatments and medications accurately and documents care in electronic medical records.
* Identifies and addresses patient and family education needs.
* Participates in performance improvement and quality initiatives.
* Advocates for patients and supports their rights and psychosocial needs.
* Applies knowledge of growth and development to provide age-appropriate care.
* Demonstrates clinical expertise in dynamic and changing care environments.
* Implements strategies to improve patient outcomes and resource utilization.
* Serves as a role model and supports development of peers and team members.
* Manages resources, prioritizes tasks, and adapts to changing patient care needs.
* Supports orientation and training of new employees.
* Uses problem-solving skills to address patient care and operational challenges.
* Provides feedback and participates in shared decision-making activities.
* Supports education activities within the department.
* Maintains confidentiality and complies with regulatory and organizational standards.#
** What We Require:

* Education:

** Graduate of a State Board of Nursing approved program required.

* Experience:

** None.
** Licensure, Certification, and/or Registration:
** Current Registered Nurse license in the Commonwealth of Virginia required or eligibility to obtain licensure required.
** Life Support:
** AHA BLS-HCP required. Additional certifications such as ACLS, PALS, or NRP may be required based on assigned work area.

Minimum Qualifications:

** Keyboarding skills and computer literacy required, including use of electronic medical records. For Behavioral Health roles, must demonstrate ability to safely manage disruptive or potentially violent patients.

** Compensation Range:**$33.52 - $50.28
