Locum CRNA Needed in Central East Virginia - 702 Job Summary

This CRNA assignment is a sixteen-week contract with an estimated privileging timeframe of twenty days. The position involves general and orthopedic cases and is not open to candidates who need to obtain a new state license. The schedule consists of eight-hour shifts with required regular hours from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. There are no in-house, weeknight, or weekend call responsibilities, and overtime is not expected.

The facility utilizes the iPro charting system and operates twenty anesthesia rooms. CRNAs work under physician supervision with a four-to-one CRNA-to-MD ratio. Physicians do not perform their own cases.

• Completing pre-anesthesia assessments
• Verifying patient consent
• Discussing anesthetic options and risks with patients
• Managing induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
• Monitoring patients’ physiological status
• Performing clinical interventions when necessary

• Current certification as a CRNA by the National Board on Certification and Recertification of Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA)
• Valid, unrestricted RN and CRNA licenses in Virginia
• Minimum of 1–3 years of CRNA experience preferred; proficiency in General and Ortho cases
• Strong clinical knowledge and ability to provide anesthesia care to diverse patient populations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with patients, families, and the care team
• BLS and ACLS required; PALS and other advanced certifications as applicable
