Outpatient Registered Nurse; RN - Cardiac Surgery

Inova Cardiac Surgery is seeking a dedicated Outpatient Registered Nurse (RN) for a full‑time day shift (Monday–Friday, 8:30 am–5:00 pm).

• Perform essential duties for clinic or non‑acute operations, including:
  • Answering patient questions pre‑ and post‑surgery.
  • Coordinating patient readiness and care throughout the clinic.
  • Overseeing clinical workflow and collaborating with the team.
• Provide safe, therapeutic, holistic care in an outpatient setting, integrating diverse perspectives and meeting patient and family needs through education.
• Use data to improve care, enhance outcomes, and guide practice; serve as a resource, preceptor, and mentor.
• Ensure efficient delivery of care by prioritizing and solving problems, and working with the team for maximum productivity.
• Make independent clinical decisions based on education and experience.

• Education:
  
  BSN from an accredited nursing school. RN with an ADN must complete a BSN within 5 years of start date.
• Licensure: RN licensed or eligible to practice in Virginia.
• Experience:
  
  0 years of registered‑nurse clinical experience.
• Certification: BLS from the American Heart Association.

• 1+ years of cardiology, ICU, or ED experience.
