Full‑time position with an annual salary range of $80,672 to $103,404. Sign‑on bonus of $7,500 or $10,000 student loan repayment may be available for eligible new hires.

Provides nursing care in adult correctional institutions using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Standard of care includes 24‑hour nursing care, telemedicine, chronic care clinics, sick‑call screenings/triage, medication administration, patient education, and basic life support/emergency care. Maintains patient records with confidentiality, interfaces with other departments on an as‑needed basis, delegates tasks, and supplies coverage as required.

Promotes evidence‑based nursing and continues competence through education and certification focused on correctional nursing.

• Graduated from an accredited School of Nursing program.
• Valid unrestricted Virginia RN license issued by the board of nursing or a multi‑state compact license, or has scheduled the NCLEX‑RN if a recent graduate.
• Certified Basic Life Support (BLS) for health care providers with current certification through American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) upon hire.

• Experience working in a correctional setting.
