Job Summary for the Resident Care Director LPN:

The Resident Care Director is responsible for the overall supervision, provision, and quality of nursing services in the Assisted Living Facility. Responsible for the training, discipline, and supervision for all nursing and related personnel. Responsible for the procurement of appropriate supplies and equipment, and operating within the departmental budget. Responsible for ensuring all residents receive exemplary care and favorable outcomes through the solid execution of daily quality standards.

Responsible for the occupancy health of the community by working as a credible and collaborative member of the sales team alongside the Assisted Living Director and others.

Qualifications of the Resident Care Director LPN:
  • Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in VA.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Two years of experience in geriatric nursing. Scheduling experience is a plus.
  • Computer proficiency. Must be comfortable utilizing technology systems daily to manage resident care and tracking
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Strong supervisory experience with multiple levels of employees, with prior management-level experience required.
  • Must be knowledgeable of current regulations set forth by the State Board of Nursing and the Department of Social Services.
  • Exhibit the ability to make sound decisions and to communicate with all levels of staff, resident families, and visitors.
  • Serve as a professional role model for all departments by upholding the facility’s policies and procedures.
