We seek a reliable full-time Farm Assistant who enjoys hands‑on outdoor work and wants to be part of a sustainability‑forward team!
Job SummaryThe Tides Inn Resort Farm focuses on sustainable agriculture, biodiversity, land stewardship, and guest‑connected farm experiences. We blend traditional farm work with eco‑conscious practices including regenerative agriculture, composting, and integrated pest management. Our farm operates in partnership with our chefs to create authentic farm‑to‑table experiences for our guests.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities- Regular and Reliable Attendance is an essential function of this role.
- This is an on‑site role.
- General farm labor including fencing, mowing, weeding, seeding, transplanting, harvesting, weed management, cut flower production, and fulfilling restaurant orders.
- Implementation of sustainability tasks including compost management, soil building, and organic practices.
- Support integrated pest management (IPM) strategies
- Year round high tunnel production
- Daily animal care including (feeding, watering, cleaning)
- Grounds and property maintenance
- Small‑equipment operation (training provided)
- Assist with guest engagement activities (tours, educational demos) if needed
- Other duties based on season and project schedules

Individual Contributor Role
:
Customer Focus, Dealing with Ambiguity, Functional & Technical Skills, Action Oriented, Self Development.
- Practical experience in sustainable agriculture and regenerative practices
- Understanding biodiversity principles and habitat care
- Exposure to integrated pest management (IPM)
- Hands‑on training in soil care, composting, and land restoration
- Equipment operation and farm management basics
- High School Diploma or Equivalent;
Degree in agriculture preferred but not required. - Produce safety manager certificate preferred but not required.
- Work Environment:
Outdoor Farm Environment, in all types of weather conditions. - Equipment Used:
Golf cart, landscaping equipment, hand tools - Standing 20 %
- Lifting – up to 75 pounds
- Vision – Computer, Navigation of Property, Safety,
- Hearing – Phone, Interaction with Guests, Safety
- Travel Expectations – Local store runs on occasion.
- Driving Requirements:
Golf Cart, Grounds Vehicles, Transportation of others, (Motor Vehicle Record Monitoring may be required).
