Agricultural Programs Manager
The Monacan Soil and Water Conservation District is hiring a full‑time Agricultural Conservation Programs Manager serving Powhatan and Goochland Counties. This position will focus on managing the Virginia Agricultural Cost‑Share Program.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing program administration and budgeting.
- Providing agronomic support and guidance to farmers.
- Communicating written and oral information to stakeholders.
- Utilizing computer software for program tracking.
- Working outdoors with farmers and coordinating field visits.
Qualifications:
- 4‑year degree in agriculture, conservation, environmental science, natural resources, or equivalent education/work experience.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Required soil and water conservation and engineering certifications.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Background and reference checks will be conducted.
