Job Description
US citizenship required, background and drug screen required

High School Diploma required
Responsibilities- Manages animal control program responsibilities to ensure safety of workforce and compliance to applicable laws to include maintaining free roaming cat colony permit.
- Implements and monitors animal control programs to ensure personnel and facility safety.
- Performs surveys and inspections to ensure compliance with the organization's policies, procedures, regulations and standards related to employee and animal safety.
- Reports non-compliance or hazardous conditions found and suggests remedial action to be taken.
- Implements and monitors industrial safety programs to ensure personnel and facility safety. Participates in monitoring and controlling the organization's safety standards in accordance with OSHA and State codes and regulations. Evaluates new equipment and materials for safety.
- Monitors employee exposure to chemicals and other toxic substances.
- Performs surveys and inspections to ensure compliance with the organization's policies, procedures, regulations and standards related to employee safety.
- Tests and services safety equipment and systems.
- Reports non-compliance or hazardous conditions found and suggests remedial action to be taken. May maintain storage areas, consumable supply inventories, and personnel protection equipment. Responds to emergency situations involving hazardous materials, radiation, or fire and smoke incidents in the facility.
- Maintains storage areas, consumable supply inventories, and personnel protection equipment for the animal control program.
- Responds to emergency situations involving animals disrupting workforce or potentially injured animals.
- High School Diploma and 3+ months experience
- Previous experience in animal shelter or veterinarian clinic
- Previous experience working as a farmhand
