Agricultural Programs Manager

The Monacan Soil and Water Conservation District is hiring a full-time Agricultural Conservation Programs Manager serving Powhatan and Goochland Counties. This position will focus on managing the Virginia Agricultural Cost-Share Program. Administrative, business, agronomic, both written and oral communication skills, and computer software skills are utilized routinely in this position. Applicant should be comfortable working with farmers and enjoy working outside.

Organizational skills and attention to detail for program management are critical. Applicant will be required to earn soil and water conservation and engineering certifications.

A 4-year degree in agriculture, conservation, environmental science, natural resources, or equivalent education/work experience is acceptable. A valid driver’s license is required.
