About the role:

The Brisbane Quality Inspector is responsible for inspecting components, subassemblies, and finished products to ensure the accuracy and quality of manufactured and repaired products. This role determines appropriate sampling plans based on component specifications, inspection plans, and customer requirements to ensure compliance with company, industry, and legal standards.

Other responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:

  • Coordinate and conduct tests and quality checks on finished products to ensure compliance with company, industry, and legal standards.
  • Perform in-process and final inspections.
  • Set up gauges and other measuring equipment (including MRPs, ring groove, and functional gauges).
  • Record and verify dimensions in inspection drawings and Excel files.
  • Conduct hardness testing and prepare test reports.
  • Complete connection inspection reports using iPads.
  • Apply required markings and stamping as required.
  • Report non-conformances to the Brisbane QA/QC Coordinator to initiate internal NCRs in Epicor.
  • Ensure job travellers are signed off and manage product release.
  • Identify, report, and assist in resolving product, process, and quality system issues.
  • Take proactive action to prevent recurrence of non-conformances.
  • Suggest improvements to systems and processes to enhance productivity and effectiveness.

What we’ll be looking for in you:

  • Education:

    Minimum Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade (preferred).
  • Experience:

    Minimum two years of experience in manufacturing quality assurance (preferred).
