Mid-Level Test Engineer VAL

Job Description

Valytics is seeking Test Engineers with experience using Cerner Millennium clinical software solutions. The ideal candidate for this role will use their previous experience to analyze system requirements or feature acceptance criteria, as well as prepare standard test deliverables such as test plans, test reports, and test evidence files. This candidate must be dynamic and personable. In this role the candidate will:

• Follow established standards and procedures to estimate and create test cases to satisfy requirements.
• Trace requirements to the test cases.
• Review customer comments and apply edits to the test cases.
• Follow test case steps to execute test cases in dry-runs, environment verification, and other internal testing in non-production environments.
• Analyze technical documents to write test plan, test execution plan and test scripts for executing EHR Enterprise Interfaces (including RevX capability) for an enclave of COTS product infrastructure.
• Perform non-automated test execution verifying HL7, CCD. XML and FHIR messaging between multiple environments and interface test instances.
• Support test events by executing the assigned test cases and creating detailed annotated test evidence files for redaction and safe keeping while the customer may be witnessing the test event remotely or may be present onsite at the test location to witness test execution
• Master MHS GENESIS to play multiple roles as needed to support the test and evaluation group.
• Provide input to the test reports after a test event occurs.

All credentials will be validated.

• US Citizenship
• Ability to receive a security clearance (active Public Trust or higher is a plus)
• 5 years of relevant work experience is required
• Associate’s Degree from an accredited institution
• IBM Jazz test repository tool experience or equivalent (JIRA, TFS, etc.) (preferred)
• Clinical software background, direct or related clinical experience, or prior experience with the Military Health System (MHS) applications/environments.
• Experience with Cerner EHR (preferred)
• Experience with Rhapsody, CDA, and HL7 messages including ADT^A01, A03, A04, A08, A28, A31, A34, A35, A44, ORM, ORU, MDM, SIU, PPR, PRPA, QBP, and RSP.
• Knowledge or experience with SOAP UI, Orion Rhapsody (plus)
• Prior professional experience with patient registration, patient billing, and coding (plus)
• Ability to communicate complex technical issues clearly in English
• Understanding of testing methodology
• Microsoft Office suite experience
