Position:
Quality / Process Engineer – Foil & Lamination – Credit Cards
Coordinates, aids in and directs implementation of external and internal quality improvement programs to ensure quality production of products consistent with established standards. Direct collaboration with the quality, operations and process engineering departments will be essential.
Position SummaryOversee and direct internal and external quality improvement initiatives within the Foil & Lamination Department, collaborating closely with quality, operations, and process engineering teams to improve product and process quality on the coating and lamination lines.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Lead by example – promote a culture of safety, quality, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Drive safety improvements through risk identification and elimination, and ensure daily risk assessment completion with support from other groups as needed.
- Complete required PASA audits for improving Behavior Based Safety, and drive team behaviors for continued safety awareness and practices.
- Serve as point of contact for specific internal plant quality improvement initiatives involving card manufacturing operations as directed by Site Leadership.
- Act as the primary resource for direct card customers, providing field support and traveling to customer locations when required.
- Investigate complaints and recommend actions to Site Leadership.
- Maintain and improve product and process quality on the coating and lamination lines in the Foil & Lamination Department.
- Support and develop processing targets, statistically validated process limits, and utilize a tracking program to ensure compliance with optimal run conditions. Implement product evaluation plans for materials processed outside of required conditions.
- Drive the corrective action process.
- Provide thorough, timely, and accurate responses to customers.
- Drive continuous improvement using data analysis, statistical control, and other tools to identify areas of improvement in card manufacturing activity.
- Assist production regarding customer complaints with respect to quality, tolerances, specifications, and delivered condition of products.
- Analyze production data and identify trends, proactively implementing solutions to prevent quality issues and optimize processes in the KP Foil & Lamination Department.
- Conduct departmental audits to determine compliance with SOPs and identify areas for improvement.
- Develop new approaches to solve problems identified during quality assurance activities.
- Keep plant management team abreast of significant issues and developments and actions being taken to improve the situation.

Chemical or Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent from a four‑year college or university; or four to six years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
