A well-established manufacturing company is seeking an experienced SHEQ Manager to lead all Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality initiatives at its Atlantis facility.

Atlantis, Western Cape

Salary: R55,000 TGCOE per month + Medical Aid + Provident Fund

Working Hours:

Monday to Friday

Reporting To:
General Manager

Overview:
This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring legal compliance, maintaining ISO and FSSC systems, driving quality standards, managing risk, and promoting a safe and productive working environment.

Minimum Requirements
  • Matric (Grade 12)
  • Relevant qualification in:
    • Safety Management
    • Risk Management
    • Compliance Management
    • Industrial Engineering (advantageous)
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in Health, Safety, Risk and/or Environmental Management
  • Manufacturing industry experience is essential
  • Fluent in Afrikaans and English (verbal and written)
  • Strong knowledge of:
    • Health & Safety legislation
    • ISO Management Systems
    • FSSC Standards
    • Environmental Compliance
    • Risk Management
  • Computer literate in MS Office, Excel, Outlook and Power Point
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain all SHEQ systems and legislative compliance requirements.
  • Lead Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental initiatives across the site.
  • Maintain ISO and FSSC certification standards.
  • Conduct audits, risk assessments, investigations and corrective actions.
  • Oversee quality control activities, product testing and quality documentation.
  • Develop and implement environmental management and risk mitigation programmes.
  • Manage contractor and supplier SHEQ compliance requirements.
  • Develop SHEQ communication, training and awareness programmes.
  • Lead and develop the Quality Control and SHEQ teams.
  • Drive continuous improvement across safety, quality and environmental performance.
