Blue Path Labs is a fast-growing research and consulting firm supporting federal, state, and local government clients. We provide professional, scientific, and technology services across business consulting, research and data science, and technology integration.

Blue Path Labs is seeking a Secret-cleared Laboratory Materials Technician to support a Department of Defense research and test mission beginning May
. This role supports R&D, science and technology (S&T), experimentation, and test and evaluation activities influencing system design and development, including work with chemical, biological, and prototype systems supporting biological defense.

Responsibilities
  • Provide hands-on support to chemical and biological laboratory and test environments
  • Assist with setup, operation, maintenance, and teardown of laboratory equipment and materials
  • Support chemical, biological, and physical tests and experiments
  • Operate standard and specialized laboratory equipment
  • Maintain equipment logs, maintenance records, and experimental documentation
  • Support installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of laboratory hardware and software
  • Assist with verification and validation (V&V), test preparation, execution, and data collection
  • Support laboratory housekeeping, inventory tracking, and preparation of test samples
  • Participate in test readiness activities, audits, and program reviews
  • Support occasional travel or TDY as required
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience in a related research laboratory environment
  • Experience in three (3) of the following
    :
    • Maintaining records as well as experience in analysis and repair of electronic equipment
    • Maintaining, troubleshooting, and supporting the installation of laboratory equipment
    • Maintaining logs and records for laboratory equipment maintenance and repair
    • Executing data entry, calibration of lab equipment, restocking of laboratory supplies, general laboratory maintenance and other laboratory support functions.
    • Communicating effectively orally and in writing
