The Federal Cub is an 18-hole private golf club located just west of Richmond, Virginia in the Mountain Run Subdivision. The Federal Club opened in 2007, is consistently ranked among Virginia’s Best Golf Courses. In 2016, construction was completed on a 25,000 square foot clubhouse. The Club features a full-service bar, dining areas, private conference room, ballroom, men’s and ladies’ locker rooms, golf retail shop, award winning practice facilities, lighted tennis courts, and a large family-friendly pool complex.

In 2019 The Federal Club opened its Golf Performance Center featuring Trackman Simulator Technology. Currently, The Federal Club has young dynamic membership of 450 golf memberships.

Position

Description:
  • Overseeing all Front of House Food and Beverage hiring and training; bartenders, servers, event staff.
  • Managing Front of House scheduling; bartenders, servers, event servers and event set-up staff.
  • Organize, plan, attend and execute club events to motivate member usage of bar and restaurant.
  • Actively learn point of sale system and how to effectively use it.
  • Effectively communicate with Golf Shop and Kitchen management to ensure proper coverage of staff on day-to-day basis.
  • Responsible for liquor, beer, wine and non-alcoholic beverages inventory, ordering and managing cost control of them (including waste, loss and voids).
  • Regularly contribute to weekly and monthly Federal Club newsletters to highlight events, changes and happenings in bar and restaurant.
  • Design and implement seasonal Bar Drink Menu. Assist in design of seasonal food menus based on feedback from members.
  • Attend weekly staff meeting.
  • Cultivate relationships with members in a professional manner.
  • Update and implement Policy and Training Manuals for Front of House Personnel. Enforcing those standards. Ensure staff clocking in properly, reporting tips and any additional accounting needs.
  • Document and implement to the scheduled maintenance program of all Front of House Bar equipment.
  • Effectively respond to member comments in accordance with Club standards, policies, and rules; uses ideas, feedback, and suggestions to continuously improve the services provided to members.
  • Compensation and Benefits:
    • Salary of $55,000 - $65,000 annually
    • Future participation in profit sharing of Food and Beverage success
    • Eligible for two weeks paid vacation after 6 months of employment.
    • 100% Individual Health Insurance after 90 days of employment
