The Assistant CSA & Retail Manager (ACMM) supports the successful execution of Agriberry’s retail sales operations, including farmers markets, the Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program, online retail sales fulfillment, and retail/special events. This role focuses on operational coordination, staff support, and customer experience, ensuring the day‑to‑day systems of the retail department run smoothly. This position regularly acts as Market Lead at assigned markets, representing Agriberry through excellent customer service, product knowledge, and team leadership.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Farmers Market Execution:
Support preparation and execution of all Agriberry markets and popups. Responsibilities include organizing, preparing, and maintaining market materials; supporting market staffing and communication; acting as Market Lead at assigned markets. - CSA Program Support:
Assist with the execution of Agriberry’s CSA program. Responsibilities include gathering and preparing CSA data and fulfillment reports; supporting member communications and inquiries; assisting with CSA pickup coordination at markets; supporting CSA promotions and enrollment efforts; assisting with on‑farm CSA member events. - Retail Logistics & Equipment:
Support the organization and maintenance of Agriberry’s market systems. Responsibilities include assisting with tablet and POS setup and troubleshooting; maintaining inventory of market supplies and materials; supporting market packing systems and organization; ensuring retail equipment is clean, functional, and ready for deployment. - Sales Communications & Marketing Support:
Assist with customer‑facing communications and retail messaging. Responsibilities may include assisting with weekly CSA communications; supporting promotional messaging for retail sales and events; assisting the Social Media Manager with content gathering from markets and CSA events; supporting marketing efforts that drive CSA enrollment and retail sales. - Team Support:
Support the CSA & Retail Manager in developing a strong retail team. Responsibilities include helping train new Market Associates; supporting staff on market procedures and product knowledge; modeling Agriberry’s standards of professionalism and hospitality; providing feedback to the CSA & Retail Manager about team performance and operational improvements.

- 1–2 years experience in customer service, retail, markets, or agriculture‑related work.
- Successfully pass a background check and pre‑employment screening.
- Strong basic math skills for retail transactions.
- Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
- Able to stand for extended periods during market shifts.
- Able to work outdoors in variable weather conditions.
