REPORTS TO: ReStore Assistant Manager & ReStore Manager
POSITION
PURPOSE:
The Retail Associate position is responsible for processing, organizing and arranging donations on the sales floor. This position is to follow the donation processing procedures in a timely and professional manner, while adhering to safety standards at all times, in accordance with the Habitat for Humanity mission and with guidance from the ReStore Floor Supervisor.
PRIMARY
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Act as an ambassador to the ReStore while interacting with customers, donors and volunteers
- Provide excellent customer service to staff, customers, donors and volunteers
- Complete daily unloading of ReStore trucks and end‑of‑day truck process
- Help with acceptance, processing, organizing and arrangement of donations from drop off to the sales floor
- Provide donors with a donation receipt
- Regularly appraise and price merchandise
- Maintain a clean and safe processing work area and loading area
- Assist with cashiering when needed
- Assist guests with their purchases to vehicles as needed.
- Assist sales floor volunteers with arranging inventory on sales floor
- Answer phones and provide proper information to customers and donors
- All other duties assigned
REQUIREMENTS &
EXPERIENCE:
- Must be a highly motivated and detail‑oriented individual, accustomed to being a self‑starter.
- Demonstrated success working in a team environment, especially volunteers.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with all kinds of individuals and remain consistent in keeping a professional demeanor.
- Must interact well with fellow staff, volunteers, donors and customers.
- Must be able to work independently and maintain a flexible schedule.
- Experience with nonprofit organizations preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to bend, squat and lift repetitively.
- Ability to move and lift 50 lbs unassisted.
- Ability to move and lift up to 100 lbs with assistance.
- Ability to work outdoors in all climates.
JOB TYPE: Full‑time PAY: $18‑$25 per hour
REPORTS TO: Logistics Manager with guidance from ReStore Directors
POSITION
PURPOSE:
The Call Center Scheduler supports the Logistics Department with helping to increase merchandise inventory which will be sold at all three Habitat ReStore locations by ensuring donor calls are answered and pickups are scheduled in a timely manner.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide superior customer service while answering and returning phone calls or emails to schedule donation pickups
- Ensure call center maintains an 80% or higher call answer average
- Maintain high attention to detail while entering donation data for scheduling
- Communicate regularly with donors to schedule, update and confirm pickups
- Screen donation for quality and value while on the phone or over email
