Overview

As a Specialist – Apparel at DICK’S Sporting Goods, you will provide a world‑class shopping experience for athletes, combining product knowledge, merchandising expertise, and exceptional customer service to drive sales and enhance brand experience.

• Deliver an outstanding athlete experience by proactively engaging athletes to understand their shopping needs and provide clear, accurate product information.
• Anticipate athlete needs and actively drive sales through product and service recommendations.
• Assist with onboarding and training of new and existing team members as the subject‑matter expert, focusing on best practices, selling skills, and key operational processes.
• Serve as a go‑to expert in designated process categories, ensuring smooth execution and high productivity.
• Demonstrate efficiency and effectiveness in process execution while maintaining an athlete‑first mindset; ensure products are ready for purchase and athletes are engaged whenever they need.
• Uphold merchandising and presentation standards by following floor set plans, signage requirements, price changes, inventory presentation, and replenishment standards.
• Promote and drive customer participation in company programs (e.g., loyalty program, warranty sales, private‑label credit card enrollment).
• Create a welcoming store environment where teammates and athletes are treated with respect.
• Adhere to safety, loss prevention, and standard operating procedures and applicable laws and guidelines.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1‑3 years of relevant experience.
• Previous retail or customer‑facing experience preferred.

Targeted Pay Range: $15.50 – $23.50 per hour. Starting rate may vary based on location, experience, and position offered. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the applicable minimum wage.
