Retail Assistant Manager, Meadows Wayside

The opportunity

Delaware North Parks and Resorts is hiring a seasonal Retail Assistant Manager to join our team at Big Meadows Wayside in Shenandoah National Park, Virginia.

As an Assistant Retail Manager, you will be responsible for contributing to the growth and profitability of the business with management oversight for the day-to-day operations.

Minimum – Anticipated Maximum Base Salary: $49,500 - $66,800 / year

• Support management in overseeing retail stores, portable locations, Food & Berverage, sales, and team members
• Oversee retail stores including inventory for stores & Food & Beverage to meet corporate standards and achieve goals
• Manage inventory, stock levels and loss prevention efforts and ensure compliance with safety, security and operational procedures
• Maintain store standards including cleanlieness, organization and visual merchandising
• Recruit, hire and train and develop store employees
• Schedule and manage staff to meet business needs
• Ensure compliance of all DNC operational standards policies and proceures

• Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience
• Knowledge of merchandising techniques and retail operations
• Ability to train and develop team members
• Proficiency with POS systems and basic computer applications; microsoft Word and Excel
• No degree required
