This position is responsible for ensuring supplies & equipment are ready for use during in‑flight catering. It also involves efficiently receiving, inspecting, inventorying, and stocking incoming food and non‑food products in the Materials department. The incumbent works with Storekeepers to ensure prompt delivery of proper product quantities to the food production areas per requisition information and minimizes delays by resolving or reporting problems to management.

• Assume responsibility for ensuring the accuracy of inventory and efficient ordering, receiving, stocking, and rotating incoming product.
• Count inventory on hand and accurately record numbers on inventory sheet.
• Inspect incoming product for proper quality and quantity.
• Check invoices information for accuracy and proper vendor charges.
• Ensure correct dating of incoming product.
• Store product in appropriate storeroom location (cooler, freeze or shelves).
• Maintain correct storage temperatures for product preservation.
• Assume responsibility for effectively and efficiently supplying food production areas and departments with a quality product.
• Receive requisitions from departments daily.
• Pull product from storeroom locations in accordance with requisition information.
• Ensure product is delivered according to requirements and schedules.
• Ensure maintenance of departments address system.
• Ensure FIFO principles are followed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
