Exceeds sales and profit targets in a designated territory by implementing sales and marketing programs and establishing both short‑ and long‑term sales strategies. Drives growth by securing profitable new accounts through industry research, networking, and proactive prospecting. Requires operation of a company vehicle or personal vehicle for at least 50% of the work week and an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report.
Responsibilities- Manage sales and customer retention initiatives to enhance overall sales performance, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
- Plan, forecast, and report sales activities and competitive pricing tactics.
- Create a strategic sales call schedule and conduct face‑to‑face customer visits to identify critical opportunities and increase sales revenue.
- Identify, develop, and maintain a pipeline of qualified accounts to meet or exceed total sales and margin plans using a designated customer relationship manager tool.
- Focus on new account opportunities by utilizing effective cold‑call strategies and facilitating territory account growth.
- Implement approved sales strategies to achieve targeted sales outcomes and foster valuable customer relationships, while maintaining industry‑specific product knowledge.
- Use Salesforce reporting and data analysis to identify opportunities for sales and revenue growth within the territory.
- Review customer portfolio to identify and drive action with underperforming accounts.
- Collaborate with inside sales to support business growth and development.
- Identify key barriers or core problems and apply problem‑solving skills to deal creatively with complex situations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex problems, making decisions under conditions of uncertainty with limited technical guidance.
- Oversee the completion of projects and assignments, including planning, assigning, monitoring, and reviewing progress and accuracy of work.
- Contribute to employees’ professional development without hiring or firing authority.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field.
- Business‑to‑Business sales experience, including consultative or solution‑based selling techniques.
- Proficiency with Salesforce.
- Typically 5–8 years of experience in a related field, or 3–5 years of experience with an MS/MA degree.
- Certification may be required in certain areas.
- Acceptance of Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report.
