Role Overview

Membership Specialist – Littleton, North Carolina. The Membership Specialist promotes and sells memberships in the leisure and camping industry, serving as a Goodwill Ambassador to potential customers and communicating the benefits of membership.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement membership awareness at the campground through welcome calls/emails, workshops, events, and marketing materials.
  • Identify prospects and move them through the sales cycle.
  • Provide expert information on new membership products.
  • Run arrival reports to identify potential members and contact incoming guests.
  • Collaborate with park staff to hand out membership materials at check‑in.
  • Attend park events and manager meetings, setting appointments for membership presentations.
  • Deliver effective sales presentations to interested guests.
  • Maintain a Hot List of top prospects for follow‑up and obtain member referrals.
  • Manage inventory of flyers and signage in partnership with the Resort Manager.
  • Report to the Area Coordinator and participate in weekly strategy and information conference calls.
  • Engage staff in the Ambassador Program, encouraging and recognizing referral leads.
  • Write and manage membership contracts for new members, ensuring policy adherence.
Required Experience & Skills
  • Basic computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Word, Google Drive, email, and cloud‑based sales software.
  • Collaborative, detail‑oriented, and self‑motivated with strong multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills via phone, email, and in‑person.
  • Professional behavior and appearance, thriving in a results‑oriented sales environment.
  • Possible real estate license requirement.
