Position: Account Manager/Insurance Sales (Northeast Region)

Insurance Account Manager – Shield Commercial Insurance Services

The Account Manager (AM) will ultimately drive the expansion of the Shield business. The primary responsibility is to proactively seek out and acquire new clients, understand their specific needs, and offer solutions. Building strong relationships will facilitate business growth and promote Shield’s products. Duties include engaging with potential clients in the field—averaging one week per month with local clients and three times a quarter with regional clients—to obtain new agent appointments while also visiting or calling current appointed agents.

When not in the field, the AM is expected to make calls, send emails, and attend virtual meetings to maintain relationships with new and current agents.

Responsibilities
  • Visit four potential new or current agents per day, three days a week
  • Maintain continuous awareness of connections, sales, and terms, keeping relative records within Salesforce
  • Follow up and sustain existing relationships while nurturing new ones
  • Identify cross‑sell opportunities for other lines of insurance
  • Travel requirements will lessen over time once acclimated and relationships are built
Qualifications
  • Professional & Casual license not required, but highly preferred
  • Previous retail or wholesale experience
  • Detail oriented with excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Demonstrates teamwork and ability to support multiple individuals
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and possess great time management skills
  • Willingness and ability to travel

Location:

Candidates must reside in Ohio, Virginia, or Western PA to oversee the Northeast/Central area of the country.
