The Business Development Manager – Data Center Market is responsible for driving growth and expanding market presence for the company’s products and solutions within the rapidly growing data center industry. This role will develop and execute strategic initiatives to identify, pursue, and secure opportunities with data center owners, developers, EPC firms, OEMs, and channel partners. The ideal candidate brings strong technical and commercial acumen, along with a deep understanding of data center infrastructure, power distribution, cooling technologies, and purchasing dynamics.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a business development strategy focused on hyperscale, colocation, and enterprise data center segments
  • Identify target accounts, programs, and projects aligned with company growth objectives
  • Track market trends including power density, cooling technologies, sustainability, redundancy, and regulatory requirements
  • Establish and expand relationships with data center owners, operators, EPCs, designers, OEMs, and integrators
  • Drive early project specification and product adoption through technical and commercial engagement
  • Collaborate closely with regional sales teams to convert opportunities into revenue
Technical & Commercial Engagement
  • Position company products as critical solutions supporting uptime, efficiency, safety, and scalability in data centers
  • Work with engineering and product management teams to align offerings with customer needs
  • Develop and manage strategic partnerships with contractors, distributors, and technology partners serving the data center market
  • Representing the company at industry events, conferences, and customer forums, including frequent national and international travel.
Qualifications
  • Existing network within the data center ecosystem
  • Experience working with EPC firms, hyperscalers, or colocation providers
  • Strategic mindset with hands‑on execution capability
  • Self‑motivated, highly organized, and results‑driven
  • Strong understanding of data center systems (power distribution, cooling, fluid systems, mechanical/electrical infrastructure, or related technologies)
  • Proven ability to influence specifications and manage complex, multi‑stakeholder sales cycles
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related field (MBA preferred)
  • 5–10 years of business development or sales experience, with demonstrated success in the data center or mission‑critical infrastructure market
  • Willingness to travel (approximately 30–50%)
