Overview

As a Specialist – Footwear, you will drive sales, support teammates, and create a personalized, athlete‑first experience. Your role is to deliver exceptional experiences to athletes of all abilities in a fast‑paced retail environment built on teamwork and service.

• Deliver an outstanding athlete experience by proactively engaging athletes to understand their shopping needs and providing clear, accurate, and knowledgeable information about products and assortment.
• Anticipate the needs of the athlete; actively drive sales through product and service recommendations and a deep understanding of athlete needs.
• Assist with onboarding and training of new and existing team members, focusing on best practices, expectational selling skills, and key operational processes.
• Serve as a go‑to expert in designated process categories, ensuring smooth execution and high productivity.
• Demonstrate efficiency and effectiveness in process execution while maintaining an athlete‑first mindset; ensure products are ready for purchase and athletes are engaged when, where, and how they want.
• Uphold company merchandising and presentation standards by following established floor set plans, signage requirements, price changes, inventory presentation, replenishment standards, etc.
• Promote and drive customer participation in company programs (e.g., customer loyalty program participation, warranty sales, private label credit card enrollment).
• Create a store environment where everyone, both teammates and athletes, is always welcomed and treated with respect.
• Adhere to established policies and procedures related to safety, loss prevention, and standard operating procedures, as well as to laws and guidelines of external governing entities.

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• 1‑3 years of experience.
• Previous retail or customer‑facing experience preferred.

Targeted Pay Range: $18.00 – $26.00 per hour. Actual pay may vary based on location, experience, and position offered. DICK’S Sporting Goods complies with all state paid leave requirements and offers a generous suite of benefits.
