Sales Representative (Virginia)
We are looking for a Higher Education Sales Representative to support a territory of universities and colleges in and around Virginia. Reporting to a District Sales Manager in our Higher Education Sales Organization, the Sales Representative will drive digital product sales within the assigned territory by connecting with faculty and key stakeholders at colleges and universities.

Key Impact Areas- Driving Digital Transformation – play a pivotal role in transitioning institutions to digital learning solutions, enhancing student engagement and outcomes.
- Building Relationships – develop trust and rapport with faculty and administrators to position McGraw Hill as a reliable partner.
- Expanding Market Reach – identify new opportunities to grow McGraw Hill’s presence and increase adoption.
- Collaborating Across Teams – work closely with internal teams and campus stakeholders for seamless delivery.
- Entrepreneurial Mindset – seek opportunities, adapt to challenges, and solve problems creatively.
- Technological Proficiency – quickly learn and demonstrate digital tools.
- Organizational Skills – manage territory pipeline, track progress, and balance travel.
- Communication Expertise – deliver persuasive presentations and build trust.
- Daily Travel – spend five days per week on campus in Virginia and occasional out-of-state travel for company meetings.
- Residency & Licensing – reside in the territory and hold a valid driver’s license.
- Bachelor’s Degree and at least 2 years of sales experience.
- Valid driver’s license with ability to drive a car.
- High achievement track record and ability to close deals.

- Independent problem‑solving mindset.
- Excellent presentation, interpersonal, and time‑management skills.
The pay range for this position is $62,000 – $80,000 annually, with a base pay determined by experience and location. An annual bonus plan is included, along with a full range of medical and other benefits.
