Market Manager - DC West, Sales & Marketing - Offline Field Sales

As a Market Manager, you will own a territory of offline retail stores, managing the Amazon in-store experience and merchandising. You will influence project deliverables, execute in-store product transitions, retailer communications, and collect market insights. You will train sales associates and support staff on Amazon Devices & Services, positively impacting customer experience and influencing sales and advocacy metrics. Overnight travel may be required for store visits, conferences, training and team building events.

You must be able to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, and 40 hours per week.

Key job responsibilities

  • Ensure the Amazon in-store experience and merchandising are properly implemented and maintained across retailers in your team and area per standards of execution.
  • Educate store associates on the value of Amazon, Ring, Blink and eero devices and services in small and large group settings.
  • Conduct sales and training during large-scale events based on program/market needs.
  • Manage weekly travel to a large territory of retailers using sales tools and store profiles to impact sales and brand advocacy.
  • Manage travel and work expenses.
  • Use business acumen and critical thinking to identify trends, drive root cause analysis and resolve issues in store operations.
  • Collect business and market insights to influence product, feature and channel marketing decisions.
  • Develop professional relationships with key internal and external stakeholders such as Area Managers, Regional Managers and General Managers.
  • Drive KPIs to increase sales through the offline retail channel.
  • Achieve goals in advocacy, compliance, metrics, trainings, coverage and team organization.
  • Complete daily in-store reports, including submitting digital photos.
  • Effectively install, troubleshoot and maintain Amazon, Ring, Blink and eero display devices and fixtures in national retail stores.
  • Delegate and influence to drive exceptional results, executing standard operating procedures and implementing solutions.
  • Invent, simplify and share best practices.
  • Manage in-store product transitions and retailer communications.
  • Provide clear, concise, accurate and timely communication to internal and external stakeholders with national impact.

A day in the life

Market Managers influence without authority to drive project deliverables, improve brand advocacy and customer experience. They foster relationships with stakeholders at market and district level, serve as product experts, facilitate group training, gather insights to improve products and push national decisions, and ensure consistent in-store experience for all Amazon, Ring, eero and Blink devices and services.

About the team

The Amazon Offline Sales & Marketing team sells Amazon devices into physical retailers across the U.S. and Canada. Market Managers lead sales and marketing initiatives, manage in-store experience, foster relationships, train at the store/district level, and promote Amazon’s brands through customer interactions.

Basic Qualifications
  • 3+ years of retail experience
  • 2+ years of retail sales experience
  • 3+ years of merchandising experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Can lift up to 49 pounds, stand/walk during shifts up to 12 hours, and frequently push, pull, squat, bend and reach
  • Valid and active driver's license
  • Access to reliable transportation during the work day
  • Must reside in the Northern Virginia area
  • Possess a mobile phone compatible with iOS or Android operating systems
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience developing and delivering presentations to large and diverse audiences
  • Experience in English-language communication skills, both written and verbal
  • 6+ years of relevant work experience in retail sales or high‑tech products
  • Experience managing multiple retail accounts/locations
  • Exhibit strong attention to detail and organizational skills

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation is based on experience, qualifications and location. Amazon also offers comprehensive benefits including health insurance, 401(k) matching, paid time off and parental leave.
