Carefree Living by Oxford Living is seeking an experienced Director of Business Development to support our Northern Minnesota communities, including Aurora, Babbitt, Buhl, Cook, Ely, Silver Bay, and Virginia
. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated healthcare sales professional who enjoys building relationships, growing census, and making a meaningful impact across multiple assisted living communities.

Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Friday (hours based on business needs)

Travel: Frequent travel throughout the Iron Range and Silver Bay service area is required.

What You’ll Do

As the Director of Business Development, you will focus on growing occupancy by developing and maintaining strong relationships with referral sources throughout your assigned territory.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain relationships with hospital discharge planners, county case managers, physicians, clinics, home health agencies, hospices, and other referral partners
  • Execute a structured Census Development Plan to increase referrals and admissions
  • Conduct in-person sales calls, presentations, networking events, and community outreach activities
  • Guide prospective residents and families through the admission process while providing exceptional customer service
  • Conduct community tours and follow up with prospective residents and referral sources
  • Maintain an active pipeline of referral sources and business opportunities
  • Utilize a sequential sales process to identify customer needs and recommend appropriate services

    Track sales activity, referrals, and customer interactions within the company's CRM system
  • Assist with marketing events, open houses, educational presentations, and community engagement opportunities
  • Analyze market trends and identify opportunities for census growth
  • Work collaboratively with Executive Directors and clinical teams to ensure a seamless admission experience
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Healthcare, or related field preferred
  • Minimum two years of healthcare sales, marketing, insurance, pharmaceutical sales, or related experience preferred
  • Experience building professional referral relationships and growing business
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and CRM systems
  • Valid driver's license with reliable transportation
  • Willingness to travel regularly throughout the Iron Range and Silver Bay region
