Phone Sales Officer

JAS Auto Electrical Parts is a trusted supplier of quality auto electrical components, providing exceptional service and technical expertise to customers across the automotive, transport, agricultural and industrial sectors.

We are looking for a motivated and customer-focused Phone Sales Officer to join our team. This is a hands-on role that combines customer service, phone sales, parts interpreting, counter sales and store operations.

As the first point of contact for many of our customers, you'll play a key role in delivering outstanding service while supporting the branch's sales and operational activities.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Handling inbound phone sales enquiries and processing customer orders
• Identifying and interpreting automotive and auto electrical parts requirements
• Providing accurate pricing, product information and availability advice
• Assisting customers at the trade counter
• Building strong relationships with customers and supporting repeat business
• Following up quotations and sales opportunities
• Processing invoices, credits and returns (RMAs)
• Working closely with the Branch Manager and wider team to achieve branch sales targets

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Previous experience in phone sales, internal sales or customer service
• Parts interpreting experience, preferably within automotive, auto electrical, truck or industrial products
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Good computer skills and experience using sales or inventory systems
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• A proactive, team-oriented attitude
• The ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

Highly Regarded

• Auto electrical or automotive industry experience
• Knowledge of alternators, starters, batteries, lighting or related products
• Warehousing or inventory experience
• Forklift licence (or willingness to obtain)
