Job Summary
Professor Jérémy Boulanger-Bonnelly is seeking to hire a McGill student to contribute as a Research Assistant to the project "Access to Justice:
Citizen and Judicial Perspectives". The project, funded by the Fonds de recherche du Québec, will empirically document how Quebec litigants and judges conceptualize access to justice and aims to deepen our understanding of the concept.
- Assist with the preparation of interviews with litigants and the ethics committee application.
- Recruit litigants and participate in semi-structured interviews with them.
- Conduct thematic analysis of interview transcripts.
- Co-present the project's findings at national and international conferences.
- Co-author publications resulting from the project (scientific articles, public communications, etc.).
- Be enrolled in a McGill law program or another relevant discipline.
- Have some research experience, whether in law or another social science field.
- Demonstrate an interest in research on access to justice.
- Be available to work an average of 6 to 8 hours per week from August 2026 to April 2027, with flexibility in the exact weekly schedule.
- Be fluent in French, both spoken and written. Knowledge of English is considered an asset.
- Experience with qualitative research methods and NVivo (or similar qualitative data analysis software) is considered an asset.
