Position: Mid Special Security Technician/480 ISRW

Mid Special Security Technician/480 ISRW Responsibilities

  • Provide overall day-to-day SAP security oversight for classified activities including conducting initial and annual security training for assigned personnel, annual self-inspections/reviews, staff assistance visits
  • Act as advisor to unit leadership on personnel matters related to security and/or SAP access
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive security standard operating procedures, outlining the security policies/guidance for conducting classified activities within special access program facilities
  • Perform Top Secret Control Officer duties and review System Security Plans and other documents pertaining to unit security
  • Administer SAPNP nomination packages, debrief personnel, and maintain personnel security folders
  • Maintain facility/physical security accreditation on each assigned SAPFs
  • Identify, report, and document security incidents in accordance with DoDM 5205.07 Vol 1-4, the Intelligence Community Directives, and applicable service regulations/instructions for collateral requirements
  • Administer community-wide Security Education, Awareness, and Training programs
  • Conduct entry and exit inspections, maintain facility access control entry systems, access control badges, escort facility visitors, and maintain associated logs
  • Ensure assigned ISS are operated, maintained, and disposed of in accordance with approved security policies and practice
  • Ensure general users and privileged users are trained in specific knowledge needed to safely operate and maintain the ISS to which they have access, including general security awareness and specialized privileged user training
  • Manage review and release of media and/or memory components
  • Perform continuous monitoring for all assigned systems, establish system audit trails, and ensure the review and reporting of all identified security findings
Qualifications
  • Ability to rapidly acquire and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) access
  • Experience with DISS/JADE
  • Demonstrates in-depth knowledge and understanding of the labor category activities required to meet mission requirements
  • Demonstrates ability to review analytic products for cogent arguments, tradecraft standards, and adequate support for conclusions; routinely tests analytic rigor of analytic products
  • Required Experience:

    Minimum 6 years of experience related to the specific labor category with at least a portion of the experience within the last 2 years
  • Required

    Education:

    Master’s degree from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education; or have bachelor’s degree from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and an additional 5 years of related senior experience, for a total of 15 years, as a substitute to the master’s degree
  • Required Experience:

    At least 6 years of experience conducting analysis relevant to the specific labor category with at least a portion of the experience within the last 2 years
  • Required

    Education:

    Bachelor’s degree from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education, or have associate’s degree from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and an additional 4 years of related experience, for a total of 10 years, as a substitute to the bachelor’s degree
