Under the direction of the Security Supervisor, the Security Officer Level 1 is responsible for the administrative and operational duties associated with a site security team. The role works closely with the Data Center Operations Team (DCOPS) to ensure security measures are in place and functioning properly. The officer is an experienced client‑facing security professional who uses clear and concise communication to protect personnel and company property, manage access control, monitor CCTV systems, respond to incidents, and complete reports.

• Ensure all employees, clients, vendors, and visitors have proper company‑issued identification.
• Patrol assigned post on foot to maintain visibility and observe unusual activity.
• Provide a safe and professional work environment for the client, associates, and NTT personnel.
• Monitor and maintain security technologies, including CCTV and access control systems.
• Investigate, address, and report security, maintenance, and safety conditions.
• Maintain daily administrative documentation:
  Shift Activity Reports, Incident Reports, Shift Passdown Logs, and other related written documentation.
• Adhere to NTT Data policy and security procedure manuals, and company policies.
• Assist personnel with security‑related requests.
• Complete assignments related to access control audits, combustible audits, badge discrepancy audits, as directed by supervision.
• Assist with Shipping and Receiving tasks when the primary S&R Officer is unavailable.
• Respond to site emergencies and coordinate with local emergency services.
• Investigate and report fires, evacuations, hazardous situations, and other facility‑related events.
• Guide personnel on security processes and protocols to ensure compliance.
• Perform other job‑related duties as assigned.

• High School diploma or GED required.
• At least one year in a security role or equivalent education background.
• Prior experience in a data center or similar environment is a plus.
• Prior experience in administration and operation of access control systems, CCTV with digital recording, photo , and Microsoft Office.
• Active certifications such as Certified Security Guard (CSG) or Certified Protection Officer (CPO) required; to be obtained within six months of employment.

• Primarily walking, standing, bending with occasional sitting.
• Ability to bend, reach, stand for extended periods; lift up to 50 pounds.
• Climb stairs and ladders.
• Operate telephone, walkie‑talkie, and computer with visual, auditory, and tactile integrity.

• Data center environment, including outside perimeter and grounds.
• Exposure to all weather types, unpleasant fumes, odors, varying temperatures, loud noises.
• On‑site only; no telecommuting.
• Follow PPE guidelines and wear NTT security uniform; adhere to dress code.
• Work during critical, confidential, fast‑paced environment with shifting priorities.
