The Amazon Security Special Programs Evaluations Assessments & Response (SPEAR) Team is seeking an experienced and talented physical security Evaluator to join the SPEAR Evaluations AMER DC team. This position is responsible for performing physical security evaluations of our data facilities in the AMER region, identifying and documenting vulnerabilities, and providing guidance on remediation. You will partner and work directly with other AWS Physical Security Teams, AWS Management, and customers, review new technology and security measures, and travel extensively (approximately 50% of the time).
Key Job Responsibilities- Execution of evaluations of all AMER data facilities, ensuring vulnerabilities are documented and mitigated.
- Partner directly with AWS Security customers to review documentation and help them understand the implementation of physical security standards and policies.
- Develop and review new technology and security measures for possible application to existing security processes.
- Assist the global SPEAR Team in determining the strategic direction of the AWS Physical Security Program based on customer interactions and outputs.
- Keep the AWS Security leadership fully informed of stakeholder engagement status, issues, and activities.
- Remain connected with industry trends and events and maintain relationships with key industry personnel and manufacturers.
- 5+ years of Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) experience.
- 5+ years of experience with Physical Security Principles and/or Access Control/Intrusion Detection and CCTV Surveillance systems.
- 5+ years conducting reviews of existing facilities and applying Physical Security Principles to practical applications at the site.
- 5+ years analyzing new edge Physical Security Technology and devices.
- Knowledge of cloud computing concepts.
- Experience in written and oral communication, including the ability to communicate with all levels in the organization (technical, business, executive).
- Experience working proactively and independently, meeting deadlines, and delivering on projects and tasks.
- Demonstrated knowledge of physical security best practices, including application of physical security systems, investigation techniques, contract security guard management, incident management, and assessment of people, processes and measures.

Base Salary range: USA, NJ – – USD annually; USA, VA – – USD annually.
