Garda World Security Services is Now Hiring a GSOC On Call Response Officer!

As a On Call Response Officer, you will be the person spotting threats before they escalat[e] in environments such as a security operations centers, call centers, parking gatehouses, etc.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • SRO's will be trained at 3 locations extending across the Greater Richmond area.
  • Shifts of 8–12 hours.
  • Must be able to accept last-minute assignments due to call-offs or No Call No Shows.
  • Handle calls for service; intake of media and emergency calls.
  • Complete daily reporting; incident Report input and approval.
  • Notification elevation, upon approval; mass notification/Everbridge.
  • Conduct travel security reviews.
  • Red Tag/Hot Works reporting.
  • Ensure timely and effective response to incidents, alarms, notifications, calls, and other activities related to the Security Operations Center and its role as a central alarm monitoring station.
  • Receive and respond to emergency and non-emergency calls from employees, outside vendors, law enforcement, and the security field force via telephone, automated alarm monitoring and radio systems.
  • Process and evaluate information received from all available sources, and respond with the appropriate communication and dispatch procedures.
  • Coordinate with Security Operations Center staff to provide necessary documentation in support of uniformed guard force activity (e.g., Officer Dispatch, Incident Reporting, etc.).
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Formal Education, Licenses, and Certifications

Required:

  • Must pass a skills‑based assessment called "Criticall", administered after successful completion of the interview process.
  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Type and Length of Specific Experience

Required:

  • Work experience must include the following:
    • Demonstrated analytic and critical thinking skills and ability to prepare reports.
    • Ability to use logic and reasoning to reach conclusions and approaches to problem solving.
    • Demonstrated high level of competency with advanced computer systems (hardware, software, networks).
    • Ability to communicate effectively with IT and Security Systems professionals.
    • Demonstrated ability to operate radio, telephone equipment and/or console monitors.
    • Ability to adapt in a dynamic work environment while possibly working under pressure.
