SCHOOL SECURITY PATROL - NIGHT (12 MONTHS)

Job SummaryThis position is responsible for conducting regular security rounds of assigned schools, bus lots, and other administrative facilities. The rounds include driving the site and walking the perimeter of buildings, which may be up to several miles per shift in all weather conditions. The patrol serves as a visual deterrent, interacts with persons on PWCS properties, and reports potential criminal activity rather than conducting investigations or apprehensions.
The officer reports to school sites for alarm notifications or other security incidents and determines a course of action based on reconnaissance of the location. This role must work special details and overtime and is considered essential personnel, requiring the ability to report outside the assigned work schedule, during poor weather, or in emergencies.
- Conduct regular security rounds of assigned schools, bus lots, and facilities.
- Drive the site and walk the perimeter of buildings.
- Interact with individuals on PWCS properties.
- Report potential criminal activity.
- Respond to alarm notifications and security incidents.
- Determine and implement appropriate actions at sites.
- Work special details and overtime as needed.
- Report outside the assigned schedule, in poor weather, or during emergencies.
- Ability to work in person and physically report for work on site.
- Full background investigation conducted by the Security and Crisis Readiness Department.
- Work 7.5 hours per day, 10:00 pm – 6:00 am.

Hiring Range: $22.17 – $35.51 per hour ($41,578 – $66,576 per year)
