Residential Security - Virginia

About the Role Aecon Global Security is seeking a professional, reliable Residential Security Officer to provide security coverage for a private family residence in McLean, VA. This role is focused on protecting the home, grounds, and household — monitoring access, maintaining a visible security presence, and ensuring the property remains safe and secure. This is a steady, full-time post rather than a close-personal-protection role, and is well suited to an experienced security professional who takes pride in disciplined, low-drama, dependable coverage.

Key Responsibilities Monitor and control access to the residence, including visitors, deliveries, and vendors

Conduct regular patrols of the property and perimeter

Monitor security systems, cameras, and alarm panels; respond appropriately to alerts

Maintain detailed logs of activity, visitors, and any incidents

Coordinate with household staff and family members on daily schedules and expected arrivals

Serve as a calm, professional first point of contact for anyone approaching the property

Respond to and de-escalate any security concerns; contact local law enforcement when warranted

Maintain strict confidentiality regarding the household and its routines

Required Qualifications Prior experience in security, law enforcement, or military service

Ability to obtain any required Commonwealth of Virginia licensure/certification for security work (armed or unarmed, depending on post requirements)
Valid, clean driver's license

Strong written communication skills for incident and activity reporting

Professional appearance and demeanor; comfortable working in and around a private family home Ability to pass a thorough background check

Reliable, punctual, and able to work assigned shifts consistently

Preferred

Experience in residential or estate security specifically

First Aid/CPR certification

Familiarity with home security/camera systems

Experience working alongside household staf
