Job Duties
  • Performs diagnostic and corrective maintenance repairs for major and minor installations, repairs and alterations to all plumbing, plumbing fixtures, domestic water system, gas lines, sanitary/steam sewers, steam/return systems, pipe fitting, welding, and installation for all piping within uniform building code guidelines, manufacturer’s specifications, environmental, OSHA and other adopted safety protocols and requirements within specified time frames of work order.
  • Performs general preventive and corrective maintenance and notes deficiencies in assigned zone by creating work orders as well as PM water temps at mixing valves, eye washes, steam traps and other related parts, pipe insulation, etc.
  • Checks Sanitary and Storm Sewer systems for cross contamination and illicit discharges as scheduled in work order system.
  • Enters time, progress, materials, tasks and completion data for work performed on assigned work orders in the automated work order system.
  • Maintains service maintenance records, work orders, requisitions and other miscellaneous records as needed or requested by administration.
  • Completes weather related duties, including snow and ice removal from sidewalks and roadways.
  • Provides emergency call back service for the assigned time period after normal business hours, holidays and weekends.
  • Completes mandatory and other training as required to maintain certifications and performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Ability to perform small repairs in the areas of electrical, HVAC and painting.
  • Valid Virginia Driver's License.
Additional Considerations
  • Other assignments as assigned.
  • A Journeyman's Card.
  • Experience working in hospital and/or mental health setting.
