CGL Facility Management, LLC provides comprehensive contract facility maintenance services to commercial clients.

A Brief Overview

Lead HVAC is a working supervisor responsible for fulfilling the technical aspects of HVAC maintenance in the contract, ensuring facilities are well maintained and operable, and for managing the HVAC maintenance staff under their supervision. They assign and schedule work, answer questions, and serve as a quality control inspector. They interface with subcontractors on all requisitioned work assignments to achieve full contract compliance.

You Will Do
  • Review job requests and work orders daily to determine workload priorities.
  • Assign work to staff and monitor progress toward completion.
  • Perform corrective and preventive maintenance activities on systems to provide continuous performance of HVAC and other mechanical systems required for operations.
  • Conduct routine facility inspections for conformance with operational and safety requirements and standards.
  • Requisition tools, equipment, and supplies required for operations.
  • Communicate with Maintenance Manager to resolve facility problems and personnel issues.
  • Keep CGL Facility Management informed of the progress and status of all open work orders, projects, staff attendance, and other activities to help ensure adequate use of resources and timely completion of work orders in a cost‑effective manner.
  • Become familiar with and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and standards.
  • Interact professionally with vendors and staff; maintain effective working relationships and cooperate with the client management teams to effectively meet agency and CGL objectives.
  • Respond to all emergencies as requested in compliance with contract requirements.
  • Ensure proper documentation in Client’s work order system of work performed and maintain accurate records.
  • Prepare records, reports, and other documentation related to work performed in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Respond to after‑hours emergency calls from clients. Appropriate accommodations will be made for both time spent and associated costs incurred in response to after‑hours situations.
  • Inspect completed work for conformance with requirements of local building and safety codes.
  • Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures and according to the standards of CGL Facility Management, OSHA, and our clients.
  • Maintain a clean and safe workplace while and after performing maintenance tasks.
  • Complete all required compliance, safety and developmental training as assigned.
  • Assist in training other technicians in basics of the trade, providing mentorship, oversight, and direction.
  • This position requires driving for the Company using either a Company vehicle, at any frequency from Rarely to Constantly, or a personal or rental vehicle to conduct Company business more than 50% of the time to perform work duties.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 4–6 years related commercial HVAC maintenance experience required.
  • Knowledge of occupational hazards and corresponding safety precautions necessary for the safe performance of assigned duties.
  • Ability to read blueprints and as‑built drawings.
  • Computer proficiency.
  • Team player with strong work ethic, positive attitude, and desire to succeed while representing our firm with the best possible service to our clients.
  • Microsoft Office skills required.
  • HVAC and EPA certification required.
  • OSHA 10/OSHA 30 certification is a plus; may be required by some contracts.
  • Self‑motivated, able to multitask, prioritize, and demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, particularly the ability to interact effectively with our clients.
  • Valid driver’s license and in-state.
  • EPA 608 Certification required.
