Sight & Sound Systems, Inc. is a leading provider of home entertainment and security technology in the Washington DC Metro area, dedicated to delivering the finest audio, video, and automation solutions to its clients.

We are looking for a dedicated Field Service Technician to service and maintain home theatre systems, security alarm systems, and camera systems. This role blends hands‑on field service with office hours for remote, phone‑based troubleshooting and customer support.

• Service, maintain, and troubleshoot smart home, video, audio, security alarm, and camera systems in residential settings.
• Provide exceptional technical support over the phone during designated office hours.
• Determine system programming requirements and instruct customers on safe use of equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve audio/visual and security equipment issues while ensuring a positive experience for customers and teammates.

• One year of professional experience as a technician working on‑site in residential settings.
• Excellent phone etiquette and verbal communication skills.
• Professional demeanor and appearance.
• Ability to work Monday‑Friday 8:00 AM‑5:00 PM, with occasional overtime.
• Daily commute to Sterling, VA.
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds without assistance.
• Pass a background check to obtain a Virginia DCJS license (required by law).
• Must be a Control4 Certified Technician.
• Hands‑on experience with Qolsys security panels.

• Advanced troubleshooting experience with home technology systems and automation products.
• Two years of residential audiovisual system service and networking experience.
• Experience with , Eero, Ubiquity, and OvrC software.

• $30-35 per hour, based on experience, with overtime available.
