We are seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to support the operation of a high‑end, multi‑building hospitality property. This role is responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and performance of all HVAC systems across guest rooms, public spaces, and back‑of‑house areas. This position plays a direct role in guest comfort and operational continuity. The ideal candidate is a strong, independent technician capable of diagnosing issues, executing preventative maintenance, and reducing reliance on outside vendors.
EssentialFunctions HVAC Systems (Primary Focus)
- Perform troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance on HVAC systems including water‑sourced heat pumps, air handlers, and split systems
- Identify and resolve system inefficiencies, airflow issues, and control‑related problems
- Execute scheduled preventative maintenance programs to improve system reliability and lifespan
- Maintain mechanical rooms and HVAC infrastructure to a high standard of organization and safety
- Respond to service calls related to heating, cooling, and ventilation issues across the property
- Document all work performed in the CMMS (HotSOS or equivalent)
- Assist in identifying recurring issues and recommend long‑term solutions
- Support vendor coordination for major repairs or specialized work
- Assist with basic troubleshooting of refrigeration or kitchen equipment as needed
- Coordinate with specialized vendors for complex commercial appliance repairs
5+ years of HVAC experience preferred (commercial or hospitality environment strongly preferred).
- Strong working knowledge of heat pump systems, air distribution, and HVAC diagnostics
- EPA Universal Refrigerant Certification required
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematics
- Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently
- Valid driver’s license
- Multi‑building property with a wide range of HVAC systems and operating conditions
- Mix of preventative maintenance and real‑time service response
- Participation in an on‑call rotation for HVAC‑related emergencies
- Work performed in mechanical rooms, rooftops, and various indoor/outdoor environments
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs
- Ability to work on ladders and in confined spaces
- Capable of working in hot, cold, and variable conditions
