POSITION OVERVIEW AND PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)The Master HVAC Mechanic is responsible for overseeing HVAC installations, maintenance, and repairs, ensuring all work is performed safely and efficiently to industry and DOS standards. Manages teams of HVAC technicians and leads projects to optimize facility comfort and energy efficiency.
- HVAC Project Management:
Lead HVAC installation and maintenance projects and supervise HVAC technicians and schedule work to maximize efficiency. - Technical Oversight:
Provide technical support and troubleshooting for complex HVAC systems, ensuring compliance with industry codes, DOS standards, and contract requirements. - Quality Assurance & Safety:
Inspect, test, and document HVAC work and performance, enforcing safety protocols and procedures in all HVAC operations. - Working Conditions:
Work in office, mechanical rooms, and field environments; may require out-of-hours work for urgent HVAC issues. - Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry HVAC equipment; work in varied conditions, including extreme temperatures.
- Secret Clearance required.
- 5 years of experience.
- High school diploma required.
- Must possess a valid Master HVAC License.
- Demonstrated expertise in HVAC codes, best practices, and team leadership.
- Must possess a valid Master Electrician License.
- Extensive knowledge of electrical codes, safety regulations, and system operations.
