Maintenance​/HVAC Technician

This position entails both HVAC and general maintenance of buildings and building equipment.

Determine and perform necessary work on building equipment and fixtures including but not limited to HVAC systems, refrigeration equipment, electrical and electronic controls, compressed air systems, water cooled chillers, and DDC building automation systems. Perform skilled work in connection with the installation, removal, operations and maintenance of the buildings, building equipment and other related physical plant.

Include performing skilled work in general maintenance, repair, modification and assisting with construction of county and/or school buildings. As well as other maintenance duties as assigned to include any and all duties of building maintenance or custodial nature.

HVAC and General Construction as described below. Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment. Capacity to prioritize multiple task. Must have the ability lead efforts related to HVAC component of the position.

A high school diploma or equivalent, 3 to 5 years of experience in HVAC, electrical systems. Additional 1 to 2 year of experience in carpentry, construction or plumbing is necessary for secondary duties. A valid drivers and clean driving record is required.

This position requires the following physical demands: significant lifting, carrying, pushing items weighing more than 50 lbs. and/or pulling; some climbing and balancing; significant stooping, kneeling, crouching, and significant fine finger dexterity. The job is performed under some temperature extremes which can include outside work.
