Engineer IOverview
To ensure a safe, efficient, and well‑maintained hotel environment. Respond to all work requests for guestrooms, function rooms, food outlets and public areas. Responsible for interior and the exterior of hotel.
Pay Rate: $24 - $28 per hour, based on experienceResponsibilities
- Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipate and address guests.
- Respond and attend to guest repair requests.
- Perform the necessary repairs to moderately complex equipment such as vacuum cleaners, toasters, lamps and small appliances as needed. Work is performed in a workshop environment and requires working at a workbench.
- Understand and operate advanced electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, and boiler systems.
- Read and understand blueprints, schematic drawings, and technical parts breakdown.
- Update the maintenance work order form/Job card.
- Ability to interpret readings from meters & gauges and other measuring units.
- Understand and call‑in problems with TV cable system through Sonifi.
- Check for new maintenance requests from the Synergy Tablet and update remarks once the task is completed.
- Ability to read and understand test equipment, measuring devices, and safety manuals.
- Communicate with different types of people to comprehend what they want and to provide them with information and assistance.
- High school graduate.
- Ability to clearly communicated with proper grammar in English with guest/visitor and hotel personnel to their understanding.
- Ability to provide legible communication.
- Ability to compute basic mathematical calculations.
- Knowledge of Saf Lok System.
- Knowledge of Lodge Net TV System.
- Knowledge of RFID systems.
- Basic knowledge in reading blueprints and log books.
- Some college education.
- Previous hotel experience.
- Some formal classroom training in plumbing, electric, IT, carpentry, HVAC.
