Journeyman Electrician
Location:
Fargo, North Dakota.
Arch Key is a privately held specialty trade installation and integrated facility services company.
CompensationHourly rate: $43.02 per hour.
Incentive pay: $100 per day Monday‑Friday, $150 per day Saturday‑Sunday.
Per diem: $100 per day (non‑taxed) for candidates with a GPS radius of 100 miles or more from the job site.
Position OverviewRequires a state Journeyman License; must reciprocate in North Dakota within 30 days of hire.
This role will eventually join the Local IBEW Union.
Responsibilities- Install, inspect, and maintain electrical systems, wiring, fixtures, and equipment according to local and national electrical codes.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical malfunctions or equipment failures on‑site.
- Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.
- Plan layout and installation of electrical systems for construction or renovation projects.
- Perform preventive maintenance and safety inspections on electrical components and systems.
- Test electrical systems using specialized tools (voltmeters, oscilloscopes, ammeters, etc.).
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure timely and accurate work completion.
- Document all work performed, including repairs, replacements, and system updates.
- Adhere to all relevant safety procedures and industry regulations.
- Provide field reports and recommendations for system improvements or upgrades.
- Has field experience as an electrician on large projects.
- Holds a state journeyman license.
- Can work autonomously and creatively solve problems.
- Has a growth mindset and is always looking to continually learn and grow.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Trade school diploma or certification preferred.
- 1 to 3 years of industry experience performing work in the field setting.
- Ability to work as a team with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Open to learning new skills and willing to accept feedback for continuous improvement.
- Dedicated team player with strong customer service orientation.
- Must pass drug screening.
