Education Requirement

Pay Range$20.00/hr - $25.00/hr (Based on experience).
Job OverviewWe are currently looking for Geotechnical Skilled Laborers to join our Geotechnical Group across VA and other Mid‑Atlantic locations. The role will focus on earthwork, foundations, auger cast and more. Work is performed outdoors year round in wet, muddy, cold, hot and humid weather. The individual must be able to communicate and work well with others. Experience in earth work, auger cast, drilling, concrete, concrete pumps, welding and small‑tool operation is preferred.
Qualified candidates must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. This is a safety‑sensitive position requiring work on construction sites with various safety hazards inherent in heavy construction, and the position is subject to drug testing and compliance policies associated with our status as a Federal Contractor.
- High School Diploma or GED (preferred).
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
- Construction experience required, preferably concrete or ground stabilization and small equipment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to lift up to 60 pounds from ground level to waist level and 30 pounds to above shoulder level.
- Continuous standing and walking throughout a work shift.
- Ability to climb ladders and work at heights up to 150 feet.
- Ability to bend, squat, kneel, crawl and perform simple grasping and fine manipulation tasks with both hands.
- Ability to work outdoors in wet, muddy, cold, hot and humid weather.
- Acceptable corrected vision and hearing.
- Safety awareness and willingness to wear PPE.
- Compliance with drug‑testing and federal contracting policies.
- Carry, load, or unload materials.
- Dig with picks, shovels, air hammers, jack hammers or other construction‑related equipment.
- Arrive at project sites on time and participate in job discussions and daily safety meetings.
- Operate a concrete pump safely.
- Operate and maintain construction equipment such as grout machines, drilling machines and compressors.
- Work with hoses for all types of machines on the job site.
- Be responsible for the safety of self and others; wear proper PPE as directed.
- Lift up to 60 pounds from ground level to waist level and 30 pounds above shoulder level.
- Continuous standing and walking during a work shift.
- Climb ladders and work at heights up to 150 feet.
- Bend, squat, kneel or crawl as required.
- Perform simple grasping and fine manipulation with both hands.
