U.S. Facilities, Inc., a consolidated facility management/infrastructure service organization, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to work at our site in the Hampton Roads, VA area.
Responsibilities- Help and assist in the maintenance and repair work for movable bridges, providing troubleshooting for various machinery and equipment such as industrial machinery, electricity, plumbing, generators, and custodial/lawn maintenance. Includes picking up debris, sweeping, shoveling and related tasks.
- Assist installation, maintenance, and repair workers in parts replacement and repair of vehicles, industrial machinery, and electrical and electronic equipment. Duties include furnishing tools, materials, and supplies, painting, general labor, cleaning work areas, machines, and tools, and holding materials or tools for other workers.
- Provide preventive maintenance service to machinery, generators, and related equipment.
- Provide daily and weekly inspection reports of equipment.
- Maintain on-call availability as needed.
May be required to perform additional or different duties from those set forth above to address business needs and changing business practices.
Knowledge and ExperienceBasic safety and proficiency with power tools and handheld tools. Must be attentive and motivated.
Requirements- High School Diploma or GED equivalent, computer training with Microsoft Office background.
- CPR and First Aid certification obtained within 6 months of hire date.
- Pass a pre‑employment criminal background check.
- Submit to a post‑offer pre‑employment physical examination and medical history check.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license.
- Considerable physical activity and heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling objects up to 50 pounds (more than 70% of the job).
- Work environment involves exposure to potentially dangerous materials and situations requiring extensive safety precautions and use of protective equipment.
- Constant exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, toxic chemicals, biohazardous materials, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, and/or loud noises.
$18.00 - $22.00
