Welder (Night Shift) - Shop

Komatsu is currently recruiting for a welder to work at our Virginia, MN location. This position is represented by a union.

• Hourly wages $27.30 - $35.90
• Sign-on incentive - $2,000.00
• Night shift differential - $4.00 per hour will be added to base wage rate for each hour worked

Key job responsibilities:

• Proficient at carbon arc gouging
• Proficient with oxy/fuel torch
• Understand weld symbols
• Certified rigging
• Proficient at print reading
• Proficient at fitting/layout
• Must have experience with a variety of SMAW and FCAW welding electrodes

Qualifications/requirements:

• Primary focus on a safe work environment and employing safe work practices on a consistent basis
• Perform a variety of welding and cutting applications (including air arcing)
• Lay out and perform complex repairs with a high level of accuracy and quality
• Assess equipment repair needs and developing repair processes
• Troubleshoot, maintain and perform minor repairs to most assigned tooling; wire feeders and welding machines
• Work in a diverse team environment
• Ability to use all varieties of precision measuring instruments
• Must be able to wear a respirator or fresh air hood when required
